Athletic Training Department
The athletic trainer's purpose is to ensure the safety and well-being of your athlete.
Before You See a Doctor
Trainers first
- They are the point of contact for any concerns you might have regarding an injury with your athlete.
- If you suspect an injury or have a concern, please consult with them before taking your athlete to the doctor.
- Most physicians are not trained in sports medicine or sports injury; most often the result is missed time that is not necessary, with no return-to-play protocol or treatment information.
- If our trainers suspect a doctor visit is needed, they will provide information on the correct physician to see and help set up the visit. This is their priority, so please respect their job and keep them in the loop.
- Show up at 8am for treatment. Treatment is not given during the practice period, and you do not miss practice for treatment.
